About Us

Do you know what to do if another firefighter gets into trouble? There is no firefighter S.W.A.T. team to call. It depends on us to save ourselves and each other. The time for you to come up with a plan is not at the time of disaster.

When Things Go Bad, Inc. teaches the latest and most practical ways to rescue firefighters in distress. By carrying the least amount of equipment with the most amount of applications we become self sufficient to rescue ourselves and other brother and sister firefighters.

Ask yourself, are you prepared to save a member who just suffered a heart attack while operating on a peaked roof? What about a firefighter who presents themselves in need at a window that is higher then your greatest ladder? Remember, the time is NOW. We cannot wait for additional resources. Just because you checked a box that a rescue team (R.I.T) is established does not mean it’s as competent as it needs to be!

All techniques are demonstrated by our highly trained instructors to provide student confidence as well as skill competency. All techniques are validated using “Physiology of Self Preservation” research. This means that, through realistic training, all skills were executed successfully under survival stress.

At the end of our programs all students will be able to apply acquired knowledge at their next structure fire. No new devices or gimmicks will be needed. With the proper techniques that are successful in stressful conditions, we can eliminate the duplication of fatalities that reoccur every year.

From the moment we begin, our enthusiasm and passion for the job is obvious. We truly believe in the material that we teach and deem it a necessity for all firefighters. Let’s not die the same way someone else did!

Our FF Survival/ R.I.T. program as well as our “Tricks of the Truck” course is designed for large and small departments alike, and can be structured to fit your needs. Your members are sure to enjoy this realistic training. Your firefighters are the most important!
